OVER ONE HUNDRED YEARS OF SERVICE

The Kitchener Fire Fighter’s Association are proud members of the Kitchener Fire Department. We have 220 members including Suppression, Communications, Training, Fire Prevention, Mechanical, and Direct Detect. We are involved in many Charities throughout the city. We have our own Memorial as well as a Children’s Park, located on Queen Street next to the Library. We also have a Honour Guard consisting of Active and Retired Firefighters. We have 7 Fire Stations in Kitchener. We also have Our Everyday Heroes this is where our members go to Grand River Hospital on their days off to visit with kids that are being treated at the hospital. We take in toys and take time to visit with the kids and their families. Going back as early as 1874, The Berlin Fire Brigade in its infant stages of a single fire hall has grown to K.F.D.’s present 7 fire stations. Headquarters- 270 Strasburg Rd, Station 2- 187 Lancaster St, Station 3-1035 Ottawa St. N, Station 4-25 Fairway Rd. N, Station 5-1700 Queens Blvd, Station 6-149 Pioneer Dr, and Station 7-1440 Huron Rd.

The IAFF Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health Treatment and Recovery is a one-of-a-kind addiction treatment facility specializing in PTSD for IAFF members – and IAFF members only – who are struggling with addiction, PTSD other related behavioral health challenges to receive the help they need in taking the first steps toward recovery. It is a safe haven for members to talk with other members who have faced or overcome similar challenges.
